    Synopsis

Florida teen Jake Portman feels that his life is mundane until the mysterious death of his grandfather Abe leads him on a journey to an island in Wales. There, he discovers the ruins of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. As he explores, Jake is transported back to 1943, where he meets the children Abe told him about, each possessing unique abilities, and their protector, Miss Peregrine, who can manipulate time and transform into a peregrine falcon.

Jake learns that they live in a time loop, reliving the same day to stay safe from monsters called Hollows, led by Mr. Barron, who hunt Peculiars to achieve immortality. As Jake spends more time with the children, he discovers his own ability to see Hollows, a rare and crucial talent.

When Barron captures Miss Peregrine to use her powers, Jake takes on the responsibility of protecting the children. They embark on a journey through various time loops, culminating in a battle at a pier where Jake's ability is key to defeating Barron and his Hollows. With his newfound confidence, Jake returns to his own time, but the experience forever changes him as he reconnects with Abe and plans to reunite with the Peculiar children.

• Terence Stamp as Abe Portman – Jake's grandfather, who was also a Peculiar with the ability to see Hollows.
• Samuel L. Jackson as Mr. Barron – Antagonist of the story, a Hollowgast who can transform his appearance and seeks to hunt down Peculiars to achieve immortality.
• Ella Purnell as Emma Bloom – Peculiar girl who can manipulate air and must wear lead shoes to keep from floating away.
• Bronwyn – A peculiar girl with extraordinary strength. 
• Finlay MacMillan as Enoch O'Connor  – A peculiar boy who can raise the dead and other objects using hearts. He is somewhat jealous of Jake's relationship with Emma.
